Adding Nutrients From One Food to Another - NYTimes.com - Fish Oil in the food

As per this article by Julia Moskin in New York Times, Omega-3 extracts from anchovies and Sardines are being added to some of the food items sold in the supermarkets.

Some of the examples of such food are:

  • Tropicana Healthy Heart orange juice
  • Wonder Headstart bread

These products promise to deliver health benefit of Fish Oil as part of regular food items without the fish.

Fish Oil extracts added to these food items make them unsuitable to those on vegetarian, vegan and Jain diet.
